Gli Scorpions sono un gruppo musicale hard & heavy[1][2][3] di grande successo, fondato nel 1965 nella città di Hannover (all’epoca Germania Ovest) dal chitarrista Rudolf Schenker.
Influenzati largamente dall’atmosfera degli anni sessanta, gli Scorpions divennero famosi negli anni ottanta con i brani Still Loving You, Rock You Like a Hurricane, No One Like You e Wind of Change, che hanno rappresentato un importante punto di riferimento per le successive band di questo genere musicale. Dopo circa un decennio di declino la band ha ricominciato a produrre album di grande qualità come Unbreakable (2004), Humanity – Hour 1 pubblicato in tutto il mondo nel 2007 e Sting in the Tail, pubblicato nel 2010.
Tra i massimi esponenti storici del hard & heavy, la band ha venduto in oltre cinquant’anni di attività più di 100 milioni di dischi nel mondo[7] ed è considerata come una delle maggiori realtà musicali della storia musicale tedesca e mondiale per i generi hard rock ed heavy metal. (WIKIPEDIA)
