Featuring not one, but 2 clarinets played by extraordinary multi-instrumentalists….2 of the UK’s top authentic sounding vintage dance and swing players, Ewan Bleach & Will Scott, who will share the stage with Aurelien

Aurelien teaches composes and plays in many of his own guitar projects including Latin Jazz Manouche and has played all over the world with the best musicians if this genre – these 2 concerts demonstrate his versatility and love of melody and swing

In addition there will be Tim Ellis on guitar & Pete Thomas on bass two young talented rising stars

A 5 * spellbinding exceptional quintet performing:

2 concerts replaying Django’s 30s Gypsy swing guitar, melded with music and rhythms of New Orleans and Bechet style vintage clarinet sounds, underpinned by driving rhythm guitar and double bass.

This quintet showcases and enlivens the music of the legendary Django Reinhardt/Bechet as well as swing-era classics with the buoyant rhythms of New Orleans, dazzling improvisations and virtuoso solos from these world class musicians bringing joy and passion to an era to be remembered on these 2 very special nights**

Aurelien will be doing a Gypsy Swing guitar workshop Sunday day time 7 Oct £40 11am – 4pm 1 hour for lunch

Wedding reception review

We chose Le QuecumBar for our wedding reception and everything went beyond our expectations.

If you are looking for a venue with a real soul and a great atmosphere, this is the place. We had our wedding ceremony at the Battersea Arts Centre and in less than 20 minute walk we reached Le QuecumBar. On arrival Sylvia, Natasha and the team welcomed us all with a ‘state of art’ Bellini, then we had the buffet which was very good quality, generous in quantity and so much variety (a brilliant combination of European, North African and Asian dishes).

Sylvia and Natasha looked after us so well and soon the atmosphere was magic. The weather on the day wasn’t good at all but we didn’t even realise it; our guests enjoyed the beautiful rear garden anyways as Sylvia opened the umbrellas for us: together with the beautiful plants and the lights all around we basically forgot it was cloudy and cold.

Unfortunately the band we hired for the day let us down just few hours before, but we’ve been immediately supported in contacting the Gypsy Dynamite Trio and this literally saved our day. Natasha took care of selecting the music background before and after the gig: overall the music was great, we danced till late and had such fantastic moments.

All our friends were so happy they discovered such a hidden gem in London.

With its amazing design and style Le QuecumBar is a place with a real character: in order to get the most out of it, we recommend to let yourself being conquered and guided, rather than controlling such strong and unique personality. Thank you Sylvia and Natasha for having made this day truly special and unforgettable!**

Ladies, get away from the guys or enjoy a romantic date enveloped in our 1930’s Parisian atmosphere with sizzling world class concerts up close and personal – Seductive Bellinis, Chocolate Martinis, espresso martinis and other favourites or wine for all tastes and pockets.

Free parking after 4.30pm – or just a 20 minute stroll over Battersea Bridge from Chelsea and Kensington or from Clapham Junction, 170 bus route Victoria to Roehampton, other various bus routes.

Thursday open 7pm -12pm, Friday and Saturdays open 6pm – 1am music performances 8-11.
