Une édition très réussie
Le Festival de la Bibliothèque d’Alexandrie, tenu du 5 au 10 avril au théâtre contemporain, a réuni 11 spectacles de 8 pays différents.
Il quotidiano al-Ahram (in arabo: الأهرام, al-Ahrām , ossia “Le piramidi”) fondato nel 1875, è uno dei giornali maggiormente diffusi in Egitto, e il secondo per anzianità dopo al-Waqa’i al-Misriyya (“I fatti egiziani”), fondato nel 1828.
La sede di al-Ahram è al Cairo ed è posto sotto il controllo del ministero egiziano dell’Informazione, ma malgrado ciò gode di un’elevata reputazione in tutto il mondo arabofono.
Ha due versioni in lingua non araba, una in lingua inglese (Al-Ahram Weekly, fondata nel 1991) e una in francese (Al-Ahram Hebdo).
